We have started the Bill Schmidt Memorial Golf Outing in loving memory of Bill Schmidt.
Bill was the first ever athlete from Waterloo to go to state. He was a big supporter of Waterloo and Gibault athletics and could be found sitting right behind home plate at the local baseball games, or right at mid court at the basketball games!
This is the Third Annual Memorial Golf Outing. It started as a family golf outing and quickly grew into a community affair. Last year we had 25 foursomes and 50 hole sponsors! The outing is held at Annbriar Golf Course, which is where Bill grew up. Cost includes 18 holes at beautiful Annbriar, lunch and dinner.
The proceeds for this event go to three of Bill's favorite organizations: Waterloo High School Baseball, Gibault Baseball, and the Whitey Herzog Youth Foundation.
